Specialized Massage Therapy Techniques
Quincy specializes in myofascial manipulation, deep tissue, trigger point therapy while incorporating stretching, silicone cupping, scraping and warm stone therapy.
Quincy provides massage services at the following location
Myofascial Manipulation
This technique does not use oil and involves stretching the superficial layers of fascia using skin rolling and manipulating the body to stretch.
Warm Stone Therapy
Used as an add on treatment to other manual therapies. It can reduce tenderness of tissues allowing therapist to ease into deeper work that's needed. The heat of the stones helps warm the muscle and the pressure from the stones allows for deeper work. Tapping of the stone is used on very tight areas to release more tension.
Silicone Cupping
Cupping is an old Chinese therapy that uses suction cups that target tissues about 4 inches deep into your muscle group. It draws blood to the area releasing the deeper layers of fascia and promoting deep circulation and healing.
Stretching
This is a form of body work that involves increasing the mobility of stiff joints and connective tissues. No oil or lotion is used while therapist stretches tissues. This treatment may also be provided separate from a massage session and while client is fully clothed. Stretching decreases muscle soreness and improves flexibility.
Scraping
Is a tool used for treatment of the superficial layers of fascia and for tendons that are tight and contributing to joint pain. Like cupping, it is used to promote increased circulation and release tension.
Trigger Point Therapy
Application of constant pressure to targeted tissue for anywhere from 90 seconds to 5 mins to allow the muscle to release tension.
